I'm in the Philippines right now, I have been for the past... 5 days? Or 4... Anyway, my trip has been really fun and relaxing, I guess being away from LA's good for me. I was super stressed out from school and drama. It's nice knowing that I have a home to go to when I'm struggling in life, some people don't have that. Some don't even have any homes to go to. ): Being here just really opened my eyes and made me be more... appreciative. I found who I was again before.
So yesterday, we didn't have anyone to drive us where we wanted to go, so we had to use the most dreaded thing here. Public transportation. You see, it wouldn't be so bad if Filipino drivers here aren't so reckless, actually I can't call this chaos reckless when EVERYONE here drives like that... But you see, there aren't ANY crosswalks here, so people jaywalk a lot. Hold up, there are crosswalks, except that even if you do use the crosswalk (it's your right of way right?) the drivers won't stop for you, unless they have to, and while their waiting for you to cross, they blow their horn at you! xD It's funny. Oh, and by the way, we rode the bus to SM City Fairview, and the whole time our bus driver drove on the OPPOSITE lane! So I was like... dear crapples, I'm going to die. Ha ha, I love the thrill.
It was my brother's 16th birthday, too (whoa, he's old!). My parents threw a surprise party for him, and my relatives came (from my Mum's side). My cousin and her husband, with my 2 nieces, my 2 aunts, my uncle. Along with my family, of course! My Mummy, Daddy, little sis, and the birthday boy. We stayed up so late playing Pinoy Henyo (that one game that that noontime show, Eat Bulaga!, popularized? You fellow Pinoys would know). But eventually the fun had to end because it was really getting late, and we were getting louder and louder as each minute passed... And it was like, midnight at that time. (: It was still fun, as much as I love my home and friends (in the US), I don't think I ever, ever want to go back there. ):
